Eine spannende Debatte zum Thema „Was ist Wahrheit – was Lüge? Kann der Mensch Wahrheiten erkennen?“ Am 21. Juni 2019 startete die erste VALERE-Academy-Veranstaltung in Zusammenarbeit mit dem BKU-YouthClub in Bonn. Im Garten des BKU-Diözesanvorsitzenden Dr. Rüdiger von Stengel versammelten sich am Abend rund 30 Interessierte, darunter viele junge Leute. Begrüßt wurden sie von den beiden VALERE-Initiatoren Richard Schütze und Jan-Philipp Görtz. Bei einer schmackhaften Verköstigung erörterten sie zunächst einen Text von Josef Pieper aus „Die Wirklichkeit und das Gute“. Piepers Gedanken vertiefte der Vorsitzende des Berliner BKU, Richard Schütze, mit einem Impuls zu „Was ist Wahrheit? Skizzen zur ontologischen, erkenntnistheoretischen und ethischen Wahrheitsbeziehung“. Dabei ging es um die Frage, ob der Mensch – auch angesichts von „fake news“ und „alternativen Fakten“ – überhaupt wahrheitsfähig ist und auch auf existenzielle Fragen zutreffende Antworten finden kann. Bis Mitternacht gab es spannende Diskussionen und viele angeregte Gespräche.
